Heavy Water
Triptych – 3 Panels, Total Width 70 inches x Height 45 inches
Kodak Metallic Print Face-Mounted to Crystal Glass | Floating Installation
Commissioned by Bluewater Dermatology, Dr. Braza – $9,000
When Dr. Braza said, “Let’s do something grand,” artist Sean Ruttkay answered with Heavy Water—a commanding triptych that now anchors the entryway of Bluewater Dermatology with luminous depth and scale.
At 70 by 45 inches, this three-panel work is rendered using one of the most sophisticated photographic mediums available: a Kodak metallic print, face-mounted to crystal-clear glass and backed by brushed aluminum. The technique forms a seamless visual sandwich—light dances across the surface while the image floats off the wall in quiet suspension.
Heavy Water is more than a visual centerpiece—it’s an invitation to pause. It channels the gravity and clarity of ocean energy, a fitting parallel to a space focused on health and renewal. In Ruttkay’s hands, water is not only a subject, but a presence—reflective, immersive, alive.
This is water, refined to its most essential force.
